Why Physical Security Companies Need to Think About Cybersecurity Too

Physical security and cybersecurity used to be entirely separate disciplines, handled by different teams with different vocabularies. That separation made sense when security cameras were closed, analog systems with no network connection. It stopped making sense the moment security infrastructure became networked, software-driven, and — like anything else on a network — a potential point of compromise.
